Celebrity Big Brother 2018 start date, cast, rumoured line-up, latest news | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

When does Celebrity Big brother 2018 start?

The live launch for next series starts at 9pm on Tuesday, January 2 2018 on Channel 5.

Celebrity Big Brother host Emma Willis is set to introduce an all-female cast of celebrity housemates in a special tribute to the centenary of women’s suffrage, marking 100 years since women won the right to vote.

The women will enter the house first but as the series continues, a number of male counterparts will be introduced.

They will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which Channel 5 bosses say will smash gender stereotypes.

Who are the Celebrity Big Brother 2018 housemates?

Rumoured to be taking part are Conservative MP Charlotte Leslie and transgender newsreader India Willoughby.

Before she lost her seat in the June election, pro-Brexit Charlotte Leslie, 39, was voted the “sexiest MP in parliament”. She is said to be earning a six-figure fee for her appearance on the show, according to The Sun.

While 51-year-old India Willoughby made history when she transitioned and became the UK’s first ever transgender newsreader.

Other celebs reported to be taking part include Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson, Baroness Michelle Mone, X Factor star Sinitta.

Also said to be entering is the controversial Laura Simpson, who made the headlines earlier this year after she was caught in the same car as footballer Wayne Rooney when he was pulled over for drink driving.

Another contentious contestant is rumoured to be drug mule Michaella McCollum. The 24-year-old is one half of the “Peru 2” who was busted for trying to smuggle drugs and subsequently spent time in a notorious South American prison.

Corrie star Shona Gulati is also rumoured to be taking part.

Will Celebrity Big Brother 2018 be different to other years?

Show bosses say that this series will reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman, and a man, today.

“See what happens when women hold the power, as Celebrity Big Brother January 2018 is set to be celebratory, surprising and insightful.”

Last year’s winner was Girls Aloud Star Sarah Harding.

Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On the Side will return weeknights with Rylan Clark-Neal.
